Responsibilities
Primary point person in communications office to share information on social media pages – including Facebook, Twitter and YouTube – and online
Help educate, inform, and promote the City of Boerne to everyone
Serve as city’s staff photographer and videographer
Respond to media requests for information in a timely manner
Experience
Chris spent nearly a decade working in local broadcast news at TV stations in Waco, Killeen, Austin and San Antonio. Before returning to Boerne he was an Assistant News Director, where he oversaw a staff of 33 including producers, reporters, anchors, and meteorologists. He has won an Edward R. Murrow Award for his work, as well as having been recognized by the Texas Associated Press and nominated for a Lone Star Emmy.
About Chris
Chris was born in San Antonio, raised in the Texas Hill Country and is proud graduate of Boerne High School. His desire to learn about the world and different places landed him in Vermont for his undergraduate studies. He returned home as the City’s Communications Manager in 2019.
