The Advisory Board's responsibility is to: To advise the Library Director about the funding, planning, program development, operations, and capital development of the library; To advise the Library Director on the ongoing operations of the library. To advise the Library Director in the formulation of reasonable immediate and long-term policies for the library with the City Manager as chief administrative and executive officer of the City acting as the final arbiter in any appeals process. To serve as library advocates, encouraging the development and advancement of the library at local, regional, state, and national levels; To support the Boerne Public Library Foundation and the Friends of the Boerne Public Library in their organizational efforts.
