Each year, the City of Boerne receives hotel occupancy tax (HOT) revenue from a tax that is levied on guest rooms at local hotels, inns, and short term rental facilities. Organizations that offer programs to attract overnight tourists to the city’s hotels and motels may be eligible to receive a portion of these HOT funds to support their programs.
The Boerne CVB is now accepting applications from local groups or businesses. Please review the application for a full description of the qualification requirements. The application can be downloaded from the city’s website.
City staff will conduct an orientation session for those who may have questions about the hotel occupancy tax fund application process VIA a Zoom meeting. The HOT fund application deadline is Tues., 4/13/21, at 5 pm.
For more information or to sign up for the orientation session, please contact Jeanette Teague, Convention and Visitors Bureau Assistant Director, at 830-249-7277 or by e-mail at [email protected]
