Boerne's Historic Downtown
For the past 35 years historic downtown Boerne has hosted hundreds of pre-1949 hot rods during the Key to the Hills Rod Run providing a colorful display of automotive history for all to see.
Come out to Main Plaza for a day (or two) filled with classic street rods, car shop talk, vendors, Hill Country Mile shopping and exceptional dining.

Shop fresh local produce, farm-fresh eggs, bread, jams, jellies, local honey, and Texas Hill Country arts and crafts at the historic Herff Farm at the Cibolo Nature Center in Boerne. Enjoy free live music, gardening classes, cooking demonstrations, and children’s craft activities, too. This popular Texas Hill Country outdoor farmers market will be open to the public every Saturday from March through November.
Pre-register for Yoga at the Farm every Saturday at 9:30am on the back porch of the historic Herff Homestead!
Every second and fourth Saturdays of the month, bring your instrument and play along, or just come to listen to the Bluegrass Jam at The AgriCultural! (Formerly the Agricultural Heritage Museum) This event is free and open to the public.
The Kuhlmann-King house gives the public the opportunity to step back in time to see what a historic Boerne home looked like "way back when".

Lake will be closed to the public for the weekend. Only those camping out will be allowed.
Enjoy a virtual art class with artist and teacher Ms. Sue of Ms. Sue's Art Studio. Then come to the library to pick up a craft bag with the supplies you need to do the craft at home starting on Tuesday, October 13. Note: Supplies are limited.
The Bookshop Under the Windmill is open Wed - Sat. Find some great books, magazines, and movies... all at great prices! The Bookshop is run by the Friends of the Boerne Public Library. Funds raised through the shop go back to the PHPL!
A popular program for adults that is returning this Fall: Creative Writing with author, poet, and editor d. ellis phelps. This program will be held via Zoom. Adult writers of all levels of experience are encouraged to join in. d. ellis phelps’ work has appeared widely online and in print. She is the author of two books of poetry: "what she holds" (Moon Shadow Sanctuary Press, 2020) & "what holds her" (Main Street Rag, 2019) and of the novel "Making Room for George" & the blog "formidableWoman."
