Anybody out there having a small freak out because you’re running behind on Christmas shopping? Shake that off and get back into the Christmas Spirit, because there are still opportunities to find gifts for all your loved ones here in Boerne! Take advantage of these places and events to get those last-minute details taken care of so you can get back to enjoying the things that mean the most this Christmas!
Boerne’s award-winning Hill Country Mile is full of locally owned and operated stores! You’ll find unique, one-of-a-kind gifts when you stroll through its plethora of shops. Your eyes will sparkle as you peruse the finest retail the Texas Hill Country has to offer – clothing, jewelry, antiques, home goods, pet trinkets – even thrift and resale finds. Make a day of it – stop for a meal at one of our restaurants to re-energize and continue the quest for those gifts! Each shop has its own set of hours, but there’s an upcoming event we think you’ll love if evenings are your most convenient shopping time:
Jolly Holiday Open House –
Come out and shop late THIS THURSDAY, December 12th from 5PM-8PM for the Jolly Holiday Open House! Many of Boerne’s retail shops will stay open a bit later than usual so that you can cross those last-minute items off your list. You’ll find everything from kitchen essentials to the latest fashions of today. See a full list of participating shops on the event’s Facebook page!
TWO Weekends of Boerne Market Days –
Head out to Boerne’s favorite outdoor space – Main Plaza! This is an outdoor market full of vendors stretching from one end of the park to the other. Buy handmade, leather, wooden, and jeweled goods as gifts or keepsakes – even clothing too! This weekend (December 14-15) is Christmas Market Days, which boasts a classic Christmas theme. Meet Santa Clause, hear live Christmas music, and get your fill of yummy holiday treats at the on-site food vendors. Don’t miss December’s extra Market Days event on December 21-22 - Cowboy Christmas Market Days. Santa will be ready to wrangle for pictures. But watch out – if you’re on the naughty list, he just might stick you in the old west jail! Come hangout on Saturdays from 10AM-5PM and Sundays from 10AM-4PM. This event is free and open to the public.
