Four events, 2 weekends, and a world of Oktoberfest fun is coming your way! I think we can all agree that one of the fun things to look forward to every autumn are the Oktoberfest happenings. If you haven’t been to one and can’t relate, this is your year! Grab your lederhosen and favorite German stein and mark your calendars for these four 2019 Oktoberfest events.
Boerne Oktoberfest @ Olde Town
This Oktoberfest event will be held in Olde Town Boerne and at Drink Texas Biergarten on the Hill Country Mile! Attendees can expect German polka bands and other live music, food vendors including Annie’s on a Roll, crafts and games, and PLENTY of beer. There will be over 20 different flavors and styles of beer to try – so expand your palette. German attire is always recommended but is optional! In its 5th year, this event is a 3-day function beginning on Friday September 27th (4PM-12AM), carrying on Saturday, September 28th (12PM-1AM), and ending on Sunday, September 29th (12PM-9PM).
Oktoberfest + Pints for Polio @ Random Beer Garden
Starting at 12PM on Saturday, September 28th, head out to Random Beer Garden for tons of Oktoberfest activities! Try your hand at the keg toss, stein hoisting and cask tapping. On-site food trucks will offer all kinds of German fare and at the bar you will find a large variety of Oktoberfest (and other types) beer flavors. Dress in traditional German-fest gear for a chance to win a Swag Bag prize! Live music by Down for the Count will accompany the event as well. Giving back is always great when you’re having a blast – this event is also a Pints for Polio fundraiser! Random is pet-friendly, so your furry friends are welcome, too!
Join the Cibolo Creek Brewing Co. on October 12th (12PM-10PM) for their big patio party! This will be a day of outdoor competitions (Stein Holding and more!), DJ’s in the afternoon, live music in the evening, delicious bratwurst consumption and special beer releases throughout the event! Gather up your pals for a day of German-themed partying CCB style.
Oktoberfest Pub Crawl!
Get ready for Boerne’s very first Oktoberfest Pub Crawl on October 12th! Start your swiggin’ with a cocktail (or a beer) at Salvador Dobbs (1PM-2PM), then head over to the Dodging Duck Brewhaus for some live music and a pint (2PM-3PM), make your next stop Cibolo Creek Brewing Co. for a beer, fun games and their patio party (3PM-4PM), then hit the sidewalk again and join Tusculum Brewing Company just up Main Street to check out their new digs!
