Set in a historic hotel located in the heart of Boerne is Peggy’s On The Green. Dive into sweet and savory tastes like their sweet potato pancakes topped with cinnamon butter, or try their brunch burger with jalapeño pimento cheese and a fried egg with fresh burger veggies! Choose to relax inside the charming dining room or outside on the porch that overlooks the Cibolo Creek Trail!
The laid-back atmosphere of the Cibolo Creek Brewing Co. is appealing to families and foodies of all kinds! Their brunch special on Sundays usually includes fried chicken with pancakes. You can request eggs to top that chicken off too! Choose to order other CCBC favorites and yummy breakfast classics if fried chicken and pancakes aren’t your thing, but it sure sounds like a mouth-watering combination!
Looking for something different and quaint yet delicious? Load up with bistro-style entrees at 259 Brantley’s Bistro. Take your pick between brunch favorites like eggs benedict and seasonal quiche, or taste something unique like their Schnitzel, which is a Texas Hill Country Wild Boar cutlet that is breaded, topped with bacon and paired with sunny side up eggs! Appetizers, salads and sandwiches are also on the menu. Fun fact: this local bistro is located in a historic Boerne building that was originally a bakery/saloon and living quarters for German immigrant Ludwig Ort and his wife Olga Vogt of Boerne!
Savor the tastes of The Dienger’s lighter-fare menu. Order classic comfort foods like biscuits and gravy, buttermilk pancakes, French toast, croissants, chicken salad, house-baked quiche and any of their freshly made bakery goods! You will love the warm, friendly atmosphere that the Dienger provides as well as the beautifully restored boutique offering housewares, men and women’s fashions and a quaint, small in-house bookstore.
Boerne’s very own authentic German/Czech-themed restaurant is known around town for being a great place to get your brunch on. Try their Dutch omelet loaded with gouda cheese, or the Lox, which is smoked salmon with cream cheese, capers, shallots and French bread! How about a Kolache benedict which includes two poached eggs, your choice of “wurst” Kiolbassa Kolache or jalapeño Kiolbassa Kolache – all topped with hollandaise sauce! Yum!
Tuesday thru Sunday, you can expect to find one of the best all-you-can-eat breakfast buffets at Boerne’s Bear Moon Bakery. Feast your eyes on biscuits and gravy, eggs, bacon, oatmeal, French toast and more! Whether you’re a lover of savory or sweet, there is something here for you.
