Getting away from your everyday routine and trying something new can be a great relationship pick-me-up. Whether you’re already married, soon to be married, or newly dating, regular date nights (or days) are important. We’ve compiled a list of some of our favorite Boerne dates for you. Browse through this list and find the perfect one for you and your honey!
1. Get Active
You don’t have to travel far to get your adventure on; grab your sweetie and go kayak or paddleboard at Boerne Lake. You can rent gear from Hill Country Paddle Sports at the lake, and you can even take a quick instructional course to learn proper techniques.
Top the day off by staying and watching the sunset.
2. Bargain Shop
Do you trust your significant other to dress you? Go to one of Boerne’s thrift stores, put your knowledge of each other to the test, and try to choose an outfit your partner will actually like (and wear!) for the rest of the day. Here’s the catch: you can’t spend more than $15.
3. Learn Something New
Visit the Patrick Heath Public Library together and participate in one of their many activities, from poetry reading, musical events, author visits, Pinterest classes to relaxed coffee sipping and reading.
4. Ice Cream Parlor then an Outdoor Movie
This one’s for all the sweet-tooths out there. Pop in to an old-fashioned ice cream parlor at the Sugar Shack and then head across the street to Main Plaza to catch a movie in the park. Don’t forget a blanket for snuggling.
5. Explore Underground
Take a tour through Boerne’s famous Cave Without a Name. For a truly unforgettable night, plan your date on a day they are hosting a concert in the cave.
6. Sip Something New
Try one of our local coffee shops with your sweetie. Some of our suggestions: The Dienger Trading Co., The Daily Grind and Bear Moon Bakery. Love will be brewing in no time!
7. Boerne Community Theatre
Go see a show at our local theater. They put on new shows throughout the year. You won’t be disappointed by our local talent.
8. Visit the Hill Country Mile (Downtown Boerne)
Stroll down the Hill Country Mile hand in hand with your best friend, peruse the locally-owned shops, and learn about Boerne’s German roots. Get a taste of Boerne on a 3-hour food fest with Hill Country Food Tours. These events are held every Saturday at 11am.
9. Take a Hike
...at Boerne’s Cibolo Nature Center! Their trails cover about 3 miles, displaying a wide variety of scenery along the way. Admission is free, and they even have replicated dinosaur tracks you can step in.
Hiking isn’t the only thing to do at Cibolo Nature Center. There’s a farmers market held here every Saturday from March to December, giving you the opportunity to taste local goodies and handmade items on the Herff Farm side of the Cibolo Creek.
So, what are you waiting for? Grab your sweetheart and go on a date!
These date day ideas were crafted by The Marquardt Ranch, a stunning wedding and event venue on the Guadalupe River in Boerne.
