Kendalia Halle (Kendalia)
Built in 1903 and one of the oldest dance halls in Texas, Kendalia Halle has always been a place to celebrate life. It had a humble start as a gathering venue for those traveling by wagon. Families would spend weekends here dancing and socializing even in the early 1900’s! The Halle has been a host for plays, community and family gatherings, and dancing for over a century now. Kendalia stays busy with local live artists playing for the public. They also host private events for special occasions of all kinds. Try their yummy barbecue tacos that come FREE with admission price! You’ll find this quaint dance hall just 30 minutes northeast of Boerne.
Luckenbach Dance Hall (Luckenbach)
Made famous by Willie Nelson himself, historic Luckenbach, Texas is home to a general store, a post office, a population of 3, and of course, a dance hall! Tucked away in the Hill Country, “everybody’s somebody in Luckenbach”, and friends are welcome here to kick back and enjoy that “Texas State of Mind”. Anhalt Dance Hall (Spring Branch)
Just under 30 minutes nestled away on Hwy 46 sits Anhalt Dance Hall. Originally a German Farmer Verein (German Farmers Club), this space was used for the protection of settlers and their cattle from Indians. Now it stands as a staple of Texas history, and welcomes cowboys and cowgirls from all walks of life to experience the joy of an old Texas dance hall! Anhalt hosts an artist once a month, and invites the public to join the party! The hall is also available for rent, and is perfect for parties, receptions, and gatherings of all kinds to make your event special and memorable. Floore’s Country Store (Helotes)
Known for its rich history in hosting countless shows led by country music legends, Floore’s Country Store is still a hot spot for locals and travelers alike to come out and enjoy a good old-fashioned honky tonk night! You’ll find tons of memorabilia displayed on their walls commemorating artists like Bob Wills, Ernest Tubb, Patsy Cline, Hank Williams, George Jones, and most famously, Willie Nelson. Grab a beer at the bar and dance the night away! Visit Floore’s just 30 minutes south of Boerne!
Albert Dance Hall (Stonewall)
The beginnings of Albert Dance Hall date back to the charming frontier times of Texas. Albert is the perfect combination of dancing, food, and spirits for a fun-filled Texas-style evening! Grab a bite at The Pig Pen and then swing your partner ‘round and ‘round on their wide open dance floor to live music bands. Cool off with a drink from the Ice House! A night at Albert Dance Hall is the perfect choice for a date night or fun with friends. This dance hall is a little bit more of a trek from Boerne sitting at 50 minutes away, but the experience awaiting you is definitely worth the drive! Tejas Rodeo (Bulverde)
Every Saturday night from March to November, the excitement of rodeos comes alive at Tejas Rodeo! Enjoy all your favorite events including mutton bustin’, barrel racing, bull riding, and more! When the “greatest show on dirt” comes to a close, grab a bite of their tasty barbecue and catch a live music show. Make sure you wear your best boots to dance!
