City of Boerne residential customers who have their garbage and recyclables collected through the City’s contract with Waste Management will see a slight increase in their monthly garbage bill beginning March 1, 2023. The increase amounts to less than a dollar per month for customers.

Effective March 1, the monthly base garbage rate will increase to $19.44 for customers with one residential waste wheeler plus the 64-gallon recycling cart. The new rate for customers with two waste wheelers plus a recycling cart will be $26.59. These new rates will have applicable sales tax added. The contract between the City of Boerne and Waste Management, Inc. provides for an annual increase based on the CPI (consumer price index). This year the increase amounts to five percent.
