As many people across the Texas Hill Country begin to clean up after the winter storm, the City of Boerne understands many residents in the City have downed branches and brush in need of disposal. Residents have several ways to have the vegetation removed.
Regular Brush and Bulky Item Collection with WM
The easiest way for many Boerne residents will be to utilize bulky item and brush collection currently underway (Feb. 6-10) as part of our regular WM service. This service is offered during the first full week of every month and there is no need to call or schedule anything. This is great for those small to medium size tree limbs and branches that came down. Please remember for WM to collect brush items they need to be less than 5 inches in diameter, 5 feet in length or shorter, and must also be cut, tied, and bundled together. The bulk/brush collection day is the same as residents’ normal trash service day.
Regular Monthly Brush Collection by City of Boerne
Boerne residents can utilize the City of Boerne’s regular monthly brush collection during the third week of the month (Feb. 20-24). As with the WM collection, collections by the City must also be less than 5 inches in diameter, 5 feet in length or shorter, and must also be cut, tied, and bundled together as best as possible. Boerne residents will need to call Customer Care and Billing at (830) 249-9511 option 1 to have your address added to the list.
Special Collection by City of Boerne
The City is also planning an additional brush collection day on Wednesday, Feb. 15 due to the winter storm. Residents will need to call Customer Care and Billing at (830) 249-9511 option 1 to have their address added to the list for this collection.
