[ARCHIVED] City rolls out new online chat feature for utility customers

graphic reads "new live chat for utilities customers"

Boerne Utilities customers have a new way to connect with a Customer Care representative in the form of an online chat feature.

The new live chat feature can be accessed by visiting the Boerne Utilities Customer Care and Billing webpage and clicking on the “Live Chat” bubble in the bottom right corner. A chat window will pop up on the screen where customers can enter their name, phone number, address, and email. A customer service representative will use this info to pull up your account and answer any questions you might have.

“The new live chat is a great way for the City to diversify the ways in which we communicate with our customers,” Customer Care and Billing Manager Jill Christian said. “This tool will help us to respond more efficiently to customers’ questions and reduce the number of phone calls our representatives field while maintaining the personal connection customers expect from our department.”

Representatives will be available on the live chat 8:15 a.m. – 4:45 p.m. on days when City offices are open. Live chat will not be available on weekends and holidays.

Of course, Custom Care and Billing can still be reached by phone at (830) 249-9511, option 1 or by email at [email protected].

The live chat feature is an additional communication resources available through the City’s new phone system provider, Ring Central. It can be accessed from your phone, computer, or tablet.

Visit boerne-tx.gov/customer-care to access the Live Chat.
