We know it’s hard to leave Rover behind when you travel. He’s one of the family, after all. The good news is that’s not a problem when visiting Boerne! Many of our hotels and guesthouses welcome our four-legged friends with open arms (see the notes on each directory listing), as do many of our restaurants and breweries! We’ve put together a list of dog-friendly activities, lodging, eateries, and watering holes, so pack the water bowls and treats and head on over to see us here in Boerne. Pro Tip: Swing by the Boerne Visitors Center for pet-friendly planning AND we have treats behind the front desk to welcome our canine guests!
Dine with Fido
There are so many options around town to take in the scenery and enjoy a bite with your fur baby in tow. Back lawns and front porches with creek-side views and prime people-watching abound! We’ve gathered a list of hotspots you’re sure to want to incorporate into your visit!
Dog-Friendly Lodging
Don’t forget to bring the dog bed! We’ve made a notation on each of the lodging establishment listings that welcome pets. We do encourage you to inquire about any specific fees and size stipulations as those vary from property to property.
Who’s Ready to Play?
With miles of trails and 14 local and state parks in the Boerne area, you and your pup are sure to burn some energy exploring. Is shopping, sipping, and strolling more your style? We’ve seen an increase in canine traffic on the Hill Country Mile, and your little buddy is sure to feel at home while lounging at a local brewery or window shopping while perusing Boerne’s boutiques. Make sure to grab a souvenir for your pet at one of the pet-centric shops.
Doggie Approved
Looking for a mini itinerary for you and your furry friend? Our friend Chico shared an account of his past adventures on the blog. It’s worth taking a look at if you want a first-hand testimonial.
As always, if you have any questions while planning your Boerne adventure, feel free to reach out to the Visit Boerne team at the Visitors Center and we will gladly assist you.
