The weather isn’t always perfect in Texas, (spoiler alert!) but we’ve got you covered. Boerne does offer an abundance of beautiful parks and trails to explore, and we highly recommend that you schedule some time to check them out. However, there are days that you just want to play inside, and that’s OK too. There are a plethora of activity options in the good 'ol AC for everyone.
Arrows Active Play Park is the ideal place if you have littles that need to burn some energy and a hike or playground time just isn’t in the cards. Not only do they have an 8,000 sq ft multi-story indoor playground with a variety of activities like an obstacle maze, ball blast area, toddler play space, and more, but they also have a café that serves coffee, sandwiches, and beer for the big kids to sit back and relax for a spell.
Speaking of those big kids, Assemble Cocktail Workshop has quickly become a hot spot for girls' nights out, date-day activities, birthday celebrations, team-building events, and more. Sharpen your home bartending skills with a class led by a seasoned bartender. All of the needed equipment and supplies are provided to craft and enjoy 2 exciting cocktails. You’ll be so proud of your new abilities!
New to town, Boerne Escape Rooms provides well-researched, top-quality experiences that will get you scratching your head and working together to solve a fun problem. Ask about their kid-focused escape room experiences too.
If you’re feeling a little crafty, you have several options around town to scratch that itch! Show off your creative skills on a canvas at Maker’s Place and Cauble Rose Painting Company, or drop off your wee ones for a fun program at Gina Marie’s Art Studio. Interested in learning a new skill? The Downtown DIY has a variety of classes to choose from that are sure to have you feeling Pinterest-perfect when you’re finished. Feather your nest with something special that you created on your own, like a memorable statement piece to hang in your home from Board and Brush Creative Studio or a carefully crafted candle from Candles by Scentaholics.
Open on Saturdays, the Old Jail Museum offers a glimpse into Kendall County’s past that is sure to leave you saying “WOW!”. On the second floor, museum guests will discover the four original, and still operable, jail cells. Feel free to lock up your friends and family and snap a photo so you can prove that you got locked up in Boerne!
Of course, you can always take a beer and wine tour. Sip and chat the day away with quality drinks and company. Need transportation? Remember, it’s important to either designate a driver or hire a tour company to get you from point A to point B safely.
If you’re looking for additional suggestions or help planning your Boerne adventure, indoors or out, reach out to the Boerne Visitors Center, and the team of volunteers and staff will be happy to help!
