Happy 245th Birthday to the USA! When it comes to celebrating our country, we plan to party all weekend long here in Boerne. Pack up the kids and head for the hills where there are celebration options for every preference that are sure to fill you with national pride.
Saturday Patriotic Fun
Kicking off the weekend on Saturday, July 2nd, Black Rifle Coffee Co. is throwing a huge block party with their neighbors from 4-10 PM featuring live music, a military vehicle + classic car show, food options galore, and a salute to our country with the VFW Color Guard and the National Anthem at 6 PM.
Also on Saturday, the Cave Without A Name is hosting a unique musical event called “American Stories” in the Queen’s Throne Room, where it’s 66 degrees year-round! Guests can expect a selection of patriotic tunes and stories of American composers from Independence Day through modern times by The Marbrisha Trio. Stories come to life through their unique storytelling and comedy. This event starts at 7:30 PM and is sure to please!
Sunday Patriotic Fun
Sunday, July 3rd, head to Main Plaza to join the Boerne Concert Band at 7 PM for their annual Independence Day concert. Spread out your blankets and lawn chairs, and crack open your picnic basket for a hometown experience with the whole family. The band will entertain with a salute to our great nation with patriotic fan favorites including the Star Spangled Spectacular, and of course Stars and Stripes Forever.
Monday Patriotic Fun
Update: Unfortunately, this event has been canceled due to public safety concerns related to ongoing dry weather conditions and the increased potential for fires.
The moment you’ve all been waiting for is on Monday, July 4th. FIREWORKS! The City of Boerne Fireworks Show is scheduled from 8:30-10 PM. The show will kick off 30 minutes after sunset (about 9:15 PM) and free parking is available at Boerne City Park and Champion High School. Check out all the event details as well as some recommendations that have been put out by the City of Boerne.
Tuesday Patriotic Fun
Stretch out the red, white, and blue-themed festivities a little longer by attending the Boerne Village Band’s annual Patriotic Abendkonzerte at 7:30 PM on Tuesday, July 5th. Patriotic songs will be added to the traditional German music that we all love at these events. There’s nothing more “Boerne” than attending an Abendkonzerte and clapping along during the Kid’s March while the wee ones proudly wave their flags as they parade around the park!
See you soon!
In addition to the festivities mentioned above, Boerne offers an array of opportunities that visitors of all ages and stages will delight in. Hit the Hill Country Mile for a day filled with shopping, dining, and sipping, or hit the trail and splash in Cibolo Creek or at Boerne Lake. Of course, you’re going to want to enjoy multiple meals in our elevated dining establishments and spend some quality time sitting back and relaxing in your home away from home.
