Boerne Family Fishing Tournament taking place Saturday, June 4

Calling all fishing enthusiasts to come cast a line and take on the great outdoors at the City of Boerne Parks and Recreation Child/Adult Fishing Tournament this Saturday, June 4.

Each team must have at least one child and one adult to qualify, but teams can also be bigger. This year’s event is co-sponsored by H-E-B and teams can pre-register online at no cost.

This free event will be held at the Boerne City Lake Park.

Check-in will begin at 7:30 a.m. and the first 100 teams to arrive will receive a special giveaway for their youth team member. The tournament will start at 9:00 a.m. sharp.

It is important to note, the tournament will adhere to all Texas Parks and Wildlife fishing rules and regulations. Since the first Saturday in June is fish without a license day across the Lone Star State, adult participants are not required to carry a fishing license in this tournament.

Participants will be provided breakfast tacos and are eligible for win raffle prizes. Our first, second, and third place winners will also receive fishing trophies.

Come on over and come join us! Click here to sign up.

Anyone with additional questions can contact Recreation and Aquatics Coordinator Jerry Carlos at (830) 248-1635 or via email at [email protected].
