Traveling veterans memorial on display at Boerne Parks in May

A traveling veterans memorial will be on rotating display at Boerne’s parks during the month of May leading up to Memorial Day on Monday, May 30.

The seven signs that make up the memorial list those from Boerne and Kendall County who died in service to our country in WWI, WWII, the Korean War, the Vietnam War, the Iraq War, and the War in Afghanistan.

The memorial is an extension of the permanent displays at Veterans Plaza on Main Street, which you can visit year-round. It will be moved to different parks and trails throughout the month to allow visitors at each park to learn more about these fallen heroes.

See below for a schedule of where the memorial will be throughout May. Please note, the memorial will be moved midday on May 12 and May 20.

As you visit the City of Boerne’s parks and trails this month, take a moment to read the names and learn about those who fought and died for our freedoms.
