BIG NEWS! The official Monopoly board game company has made and launched a new game version and it’s ALL about the Texas Hill Country. The Boerne Visitors Center team was honored to be part of the launch event this past Wednesday and then to host Mr. Monopoly himself for a tour around town for the day on Thursday!
Mr. Money Bags enjoyed a full day of fun in Boerne and loved every second of it. He snapped the obligatory selfie with Wild Bill and the Boerne Mural, jumped in on a quick soccer game with Rex the Boerne Parks and Recreation Raccoon, did a bit of boutique shopping, met S’more the elf at The Christmas Shoppe, got locked up at The Old Jail Museum, took a ride on a firetruck, and did some exploring out at the Cibolo Center for Conservation. Check out our Instagram for all the fun photos from the day.
The colorful new board game features all of your favorite Monopoly features like the iconic colorful money, tiny playing pieces, “GO”, Jail, Community Chest, Chance, etc. However, you will notice all of the properties one can purchase are familiar regional favorites including Boerne’s own Hill Country Mile, Cibolo Center for Conservation, and the non-profit organization, Hill Country Family Services.
At this time, the games can be purchased in two locations along the Hill Country Mile; The Christmas Shoppe, and J. Forks Designs. So, grab one for your own enjoyment and make great Texas Hill Country memories with family and friends in the comfort of your own home.
