[ARCHIVED] Holiday Events in Boerne: What To Expect

People walk downtown for Dickens on Main

With the expansion of A Dickens Celebration to four weekends and other holiday celebrations taking place through the end of the year, there is a lot going on in Boerne this holiday season.

Check out the information below to learn about the upcoming events, road closures, and more.

Holiday Events in Boerne

Nov. 26 - 27 | Dickens on Main – A Dickens Celebration

Dickens on Main

Highlights from this weekend include the Tree Lighting Ceremony at Main Plaza at 6 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 26. Ice carving, dancing, vendors, and shopping round out a great weekend of fun.

Main Street will close to vehicle traffic from 4-10 p.m. Friday, Nov. 26 and Saturday, Nov. 27 to allow people to walk freely through downtown. Main Street will be closed from Blanco Road to River Road.

Nov. 29 | Menorah Lighting Ceremony

Menorah Lighting Ceremony

Chabad of La Cantera invites you to a Menorah Lighting at Main Plaza on Monday, Nov. 29 from 4-5 p.m.

This Chanukah celebration is open to the public and the community is welcome to attend. There will be kids crafts, live music, donuts, and latkes following the lighting of the 9-foot tall Menorah.

Dec. 3-4 | Weihnachts Weekend – A Dickens Celebration

Weihnachts Weekend

A Dickens Celebration continues Dec. 3-4 with Weihnachts Weekend. Join holiday revelers for a Stocking Stroll, Weihnachts Market, music, and more in downtown Boerne.

The weekend is capped off with the 34th-Annual Weihnachts Parade on Saturday, Dec. 4 at 6 p.m. Main Street will close to traffic starting at 4:30 p.m. Saturday and all vehicles must be off the parade route.

Dec. 8-11 | A Toast of Old Town – A Dickens Celebration

Taste of Old Town

The third weekend of A Dickens Celebration offers A Toast of Old Town and features several exciting new events and activities, including a Movie in the Park at Main Plaza, a Christmas Market, late-night shopping, and more.

No road closures on Main Steet are planned for this weekend, but please drive carefully as there will be a lot of people in downtown.

Dec. 17-19 | Kinder Fest – A Dickens Celebration

Kinder Fest

Wrapping up A Dickens Celebration is Kinder Fest taking place on Dec. 17-19 in downtown Boerne. This will be a weekend of fun for the whole family.

No road closures on Main Steet are planned for this weekend, but please drive carefully as there will be a lot of people in downtown.
