September 11 Exhibit at the Library

It’s important to honor the memory of those whose lives were lost, and it’s essential to recall the heroism of all those who worked their hearts out helping the people who were attacked.During the month of September, the library is commemorating that day by hosting an educational exhibition called “September 11: The Day That Changed the World,” provided to us by the 9/11 Memorial and Museum.  It consists of 14 posters that tell the personal stories of those who witnessed and survived the attacks, and it features archival photographs and images of artifacts from the Museum’s permanent collection.

Our youth department is showcasing commemorative art and poems from BISD Elementary students.

On Saturday, September 11, the library will be offering a day-long video link with the 9/11 Memorial Museum. We hope you will take the opportunity to visit this powerful exhibit when you stop by the library.
