[ARCHIVED] Erase Your Overdue Fines!

Graphic Describing Library Drive to erase fines

We are forgiving fines during the month of August, but of course there are a few stipulations. The fines are for overdue items only. In order to reduce those fines, you must bring in an item of non-perishable food; or some sort of pet food; or a back-to-school item. Isn’t that crazy? You’re not stuck with just one option, which means we have more options about who—or what—gets help from us. The working title for our drive is “Barks, Beans and Backpacks.” For each item you bring in we’ll take one dollar off your overdue fines. If you owe $1.50, you need to bring in two items, etc.  We will not accept expired food, so please make sure the expiration date hasn’t occurred by the time you donate it. All your donated human food and school supplies will be taken to Hill Country Family Services. The pet food will be either donated to the same place or to the Boerne Animal Shelter. This is a win-win for everyone! Please consider taking advantage of this opportunity to clear your account and start checking out items again!
