HAPPY BIRTHDAY, USA- Boerne’s ready to party and you’re invited! There are 3 different fireworks shows scheduled around town over the July 4th weekend as well as an assortment of other fun activities that you will not want to miss. If you play your cards right, you could watch fireworks on Saturday AND Sunday. Load up the car with your loved ones and make memories celebrating our great country in charming Boerne, Texas USA!
The biggest FIREWORKS show in Boerne will kick off after dark on the 4th at Boerne City Park courtesy of the Boerne Fire Department! The public is welcome to watch with a front-row seat for free at Boerne City Park and Champion High School, but take note that parking will fill quickly.
The show can also be seen in the night sky from many locations around town. The Kendall County Fair Grounds will offer parking for prime viewing for $5 per car. VIP seating is available at Inferno’s Wood Fired Oven and Spirits (check out their drink specials too!).
A special celebration will be held at The AgriCultural Museum and Arts Center. Pre-purchase tickets for the event online for $10 per family to reserve your parking spot. Walk-ins are welcome (also for $10 per family) on the day of the event starting at 6:00 pm. Food and drinks will be available, as well as free crafts for the kids before the main event lights up the night sky!
Sunday, July 4th you’re not going to want to miss a huge lineup of music at The Roundup! Dawn & Dave Jorgenson will kick off the event at 7:00 pm and Mario Flores and The Soda Creek Band will take the stage after a special FIREWORKS display that will start after dark. Admission is $10 per person and children 12 and under are free!
Load up the car and head to Don Strange Ranch for a day filled with family fun from 2:30-11:00 pm! Festivities will include a full lineup of live music, food, beer, a water slide, a bounce house, petting zoo, shopping, a zipline, and of course FIREWORKS! Entry to the ranch is $30 per carload!
Settle down in the cool cave air at the Cave Without a Name for an evening of comedic storytelling and tunes with the Marbriago Trio on July 3rd. They will explore American patriotic music and the stories of American composers from Independence Day through modern times. They will include American greats like Stephen Foster, Scott Joplin, George M Cohan, Gershwin, Copland, Bernstein, and more. Tickets can be purchased online in advance for $30 or at the door for $35.
Join the Black Rifle Coffee Company and their neighbors for a good old-fashioned block party. E. San Antonio St. will be closed from noon to 6:00 pm on Saturday, July 3rd for a classic car show, live music by The Lost Mule Band, and fun on the Hill Country Mile.
Live Music
In addition to the shows mentioned above, many other venues around town will be offering live music selections, drink specials, and dining selections that will call you over for an afternoon or evening of fun. On Saturday, Ruben V will be on stage at Dog and Pony Grill, Salvador Dobbs will host Nef Hernandez, and Amber Nicole Bormann will be serenade guests at Tusculum Brewing Co.
On Sunday the 4th, Dog and Pony will be serving up food and drink specials including the all-American favorite hot dog and Siera Lynn will be playing on deck at 5 pm.
