The City of Boerne is excited to welcome everyone back to the park for an annual summertime celebration.

The Boerne Fire Department will once again sponsor the city’s annual Independence Day Fireworks show on Sunday, July 4 starting around 9:15 p.m. at City Park, located at 106 City Park Road in Boerne. This annual event is free and open to the public.

Parking

Free parking for the fireworks show will be available at City Park and Champion High School. Paid parking will be available at the Kendall Co. Fairgrounds and the The AgriCultural Heritage Center and Museum, which is hosting a separate Fourth of July event. Click here to learn more about that event.

The Cibolo Center for Conservation will be closed to the public and will not offer public parking.

Officers with the Boerne Police Department will be on hand to direct traffic before and after the event. Please be aware, City Park Road will be closed once parking reaches capacity. Additional information on routes and traffic flow will be released in the days leading up to July 4, as will information for where you can safely view the fireworks show.

What to Bring

Attendees are encouraged to bring lawn chairs and blankets to sit on during the show. Please do not bring tents or other pop-up shade structures.

Pets are allowed at the event but must be on a leash, per city ordinance. If you do bring your pet, please be confident they will be OK during the fireworks show.

Outside food and drinks are allowed, but no glass containers or bottles. There will be at least one food vendor on site.

Weather

The show will go on unless it rains or it is deemed too windy to safely shoot off the fireworks. A determination will be made on the day of the event whether it will be postponed. Follow the city’s social media pages and website for the latest information.

As you celebrate throughout the Fourth of July weekend, please remember it is illegal to use fireworks and handheld sparklers within the city limits of Boerne, including Boerne City Lake, the Kendall Co. Fairgrounds and all city parks.
