Boerne PD dedicates newly built police K-9 area

Police K-9 offices stand with the two young men who helped build the new training facility.

After months of planning and hard work, two members of the Boerne community officially dedicated the newly built Boerne Police K-9 area.

Samuel Adams and Ian Siemens began planning for the projects back in the spring of 2020 as part of their Eagle Scout program with construction beginning during the summer.

The end result includes a K9 kennel, wash area and a fenced in training area.

Lt. Mitchell Scoggins, a fellow Eagle Scout, served as the department’s liaison and worked with Adams and Siemens as they fundraised, designed and brought the project to life.
