This year will look a little different from past years, but you still have plenty of opportunity to get help. Free tax preparation will take place on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Wednesdays from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. The first day is Tuesday, February 16, and the final returns will be prepared on Wednesday, April 14.
There are a limited number of appointments, and we don’t want you to waste your opportunity by not being prepared. We ask that you stop by the library to pick up the IRS intake form to be completed before the day of your appointment. It’s crucial you have all your tax documents with you when you arrive. Please keep in mind that the appointment you make is only for you and whoever you are filing with. Extra people who come with you can’t get their taxes prepared during your appointment, because each return requires a separate appointment.
