Honoring Those Who Have Served

The Walk of Honor was installed with the 2014 renovations of Veterans Plaza. The Walk of Honor was part of a fundraising project to help finance some of the shortfall for the entire park renovations. It is an extra-wide walkway from Main Street to the center of the park, lined with bricks engraved with the names of family and friends who served or are still serving in the military.

The City of Boerne is very pleased to be offering additional bricks for honoring our veterans, reservists, and active duty military personnel. This effort provides a permanent way of recognizing those whose service has meant so much to all of us.

Ordering a Brick

Orders are placed on an annual basis each July. The next order will be placed in July 2022 for an install date before Veterans Day 2022 ceremonies.

Review the information below to learn how you can place an online order a brick for the Walk of Honor. If you have questions, please call the Parks and Recreation Department at (830) 248-1635. Anyone is welcome to visit the Parks and Recreation Office at 1017 Adler St. to order in person.

Steps for Ordering Your Walk of Honor Brick

Review the steps below for ordering a brick online.

Choose a brick option from the list below. When you click the link for the brick type you want, you will be redirected to our Park Activities Enrollment Site.
Log in to the Parks Activities Enrollment Site with your login information. If you don't already have an account, you will need to create one and then return to the Activities Walk of Honor Brick page.
You will need to know what insignia you want on the brick (if any). Click here to see available insignias and their corresponding numbers for ordering.
You will need to know what verbiage you want on the brick.
Once you have gathered this information, you will be able to purchase a brick online and pay with a credit card.

Brick Options

There are four types of bricks available for purchase to the Walk of Honor. The available options are:

4"x8" Brick NO Insignia - $125
4"x8" Brick WITH Insignia - $125
8"x8" Brick NO Insignia - $200
8"x8" Brick WITH Insignia - $200

Includes: 3 lines of text with 20 characters each, including spaces.
Insignia: NONE

A virtual brick designing tool is available online to help visualize the design you want for your brick. Please remember, this is just a design tool to help with selecting your design. You will still need to order your brick through the steps listed above.

Note: Not all insignia listed on the design tool website are available for bricks on the Walk of Honor. Likewise, not all insignias available for Walk of Honor bricks are featured in the design tool. There are a couple of insignias (Army and Navy) that can be used for positioning purposes within the tool for your reference.
