Free Tax Prep Help

Each tax season the library partners with the AARP Tax Aide Foundation to provide free tax preparation to anyone who pays federal income tax. There are no income or age restrictions.

Tax returns will be prepared by appointment only. Typically our services take place during the months of February, March, and most of April until tax day. We try to have a Spanish speaker on the tax team for at least one day each week, but we'll make that announcement closer to tax time.

The tax volunteers can assist with tax questions and complete the most commonly used tax forms. Taxpayers must bring a copy of the previous year’s tax return, photo ID, and Social Security card for each person on the return. Volunteers preparing tax returns are not IRS employees, but are trained and certified by the IRS.
