One of the happiest days for Animal Care Services is when one of our furry friends finds their forever home. Visit the ACS PetFinder account to see dogs and cats available for adoption from our shelter.
Why Adopt?
Adopting a pet from your local shelter is beneficial in so many ways for both the owner and the pet.
Healthy Pets
All adoptable pets from ACS are examined by a licensed veterinarian, vaccinated against rabies, treated for flea/heartworm prevention, and have been spayed or neutered.
Save Money
The adoption fees at Boerne ACS are much less than it would cost to buy from a breeder or pet store. Plus, by adopting you are supporting animals in need of a home.
Adoption Fees
Animals yet to be spayed or neutered:
- Dogs/Puppies: $105
- Cats/Kittens: $95
Animals that have already been spayed or neutered:
- Dogs/Puppies: $80
- Cats/Kittens: $80
- Barn Cats: $75
Visit the Shelter
If you see a pet you're interested in, you can can come to the shelter to meet them in person. The shelter's normal operating hours are below:
- Weekdays (except Wednesday): 10 a.m. - 4 p.m.
- Saturday: 10 a.m. - 3 p.m.
- Sunday and Wednesday: Closed
Please call (830) 249-2456 or email ACS to set an appointment to meet adoptable pets to ensure staff and pet availability
If you are a current dog owner and are looking to adopt another dog, we do require a meet and greet with your current dog(s) and the adopted dog. This is done to make sure the dogs will get along with one another. We have a outdoor play space at the shelter for the pups to meet.
