Unified Development Code

The Unified Development Code was adopted July 27, 2021 and was updated February 22, 2022. The purpose of the Unified Development Code (UDC) is to promote the health, safety, morals, and general welfare of the City. The UDC consolidates the regulations pertaining to land use and development and makes the City's regulations and requirements more convenient to access, use, distribute, and read.

Engineering Design Manual 

The purpose of the Engineering Design Manual (EDM) is to establish standard principles and practices for the design and construction within the City of Boerne, Texas, and its exterritorial jurisdiction (ETJ). The design engineer is responsible for complying with the latest version of this manual and the UDC adopted by the City.

Design considerations include but are not limited to streets, sidewalks, traffic analysis, drainage and detention, and utilities. The public is encouraged to review the Engineering Design Manual and email any questions and comments to [email protected].

Low Impact Development

In cooperation with the San Antonio River Authority, the City of Boerne has created a Boerne Edition of the San Antonio River Basin Low Impact Development Technical Guidance Manual. The LID manual is another local resource that can be used to help improve surface water quality conditions throughout the watershed.
