Effective June 1, 2023, the City of Boerne has moved its monthly Bulky/Brush Collection to the second full week of the month. Previously this collection was done during the first week of the month. Click here for more on this change.
About Bulky Collections
Waste Management collects bulky items once per month during the second full week of the month.
Bulky items are collected at the curb and limited to four cubic yards of materials. There is no need to call Boerne Utilities Customer Care and Billing to request this service. Just have your items out by 7 a.m. on your pickup day.
What is Bulky Trash?
Bulky collection is reserved for larger items that do not fit inside the normal garbage cart.
Acceptable Bulky Items
These items can include but are not limited to:
- Appliances with CFCs (refrigerants and aerosol propellants) removed and labeled as such by a licensed contractor
- Furniture
- Mattresses
- Carpeting (cut into 4-foot bundles)
- Other items that are too large or numerous to fit in your garbage cart
Unacceptable Bulky Items
The following items should NOT be placed at the curb for bulky collections:
- Appliances containing CFCs (refrigerants and aerosol propellants)
- Batteries
- Concrete, brick, asphalt, and roofing
- Construction debris from contractors
- Electronics (such as large TV's)
- Gasoline
- Items heavier than 200 pounds
- Paint
- Motor oils and filters
- Tires
- Vehicles and parts
