About the Police Explorer Program
The Junior Cadet Police Explorer program introduces young adults to the nature and complexity of law enforcement. Students develop individual character, build leadership skills, and gain an appreciation for community service to help prepare them for a career in law enforcement.
What is Exploring?
The Boerne Police Department sponsors Explorer Post 413, which is part of the nationwide Exploring program. Exploring exists to teach important life and career skills to young people from all backgrounds through immersive career experiences and mentorship provided by community and business leaders.
Together, we equip young people with character, leadership, and life skills that can be used both today and in their future careers. Exploring is based on a unique and dynamic relationship between youth and the organizations in their communities.
