Residential Garbage Collection - CLICK HERE FOR NEW GARBAGE ROUTE MAPS
Waste Management, operating under a contract with the City, provides a 96-gallon waste wheeler for each residential waste collection account. Each waste wheeler is assigned a serial number for a specific residential address and is used by the occupants at that address, even when the property changes hands. See new route maps here (PDF)
To ensure collection, place the waste wheeler at the curb by 7 AM on the service day. The automatic lift that empties the waste wheeler containers can handle up to 175 pounds, so avoid placing rocks, dirt and other heavy items in the container. Containers that cannot be lifted will be left so the customer can redistribute the contents for the following week’s pickup or for the bulky item collection. See new route maps here (PDF)

Bulky item and brush pick-up will now occur monthly, as opposed to every six months. Bulky item and brush pick-up will take place the first full week of each month. If the 1st of the month falls on any day besides Monday, bulk item and brush pick-up will take place the following week.
Leaf collection is not in addition to other bulky items, but part of your overall collection. No more than 4 cubic yards or 8 bags in total per month will be collected. We recommend yard waste be in brown biodegradable bags.
Boerne utilities customers can also take advantage of a Special Collection Service that includes the pick-up of hazardous waste, chemicals, paint, cleaners, and electronics. Contact Waste Management’s ‘At Your Door’ at 800-449-7587 or [email protected] or visit www.wmatyourdoor.com.
