  4. Brown Bag with TED

    March 27, 12:00 PM - 1:00 PM @ Second Floor Conference Rm

    According to their website, "TED is a nonprofit devoted to spreading ideas, usually in the form of short, powerful talks (18 mins or less). TED began in 1984 as a conference where Technology Entertainment and Design converged, and today covers almost all topics--from science to business to global issues--in more than 100 languages." We will watch the videos and then have a follow-up discussion over a brown bag lunch. No registration required.

  5. Meet Me at the Movie Night

    Join us March 27th at the Boerne Starplex Cinema for Insurgent. Movie begins at 6:00 pm,with a trivia contest in the parking lot of Boerne Middle School South at 5:00 pm. Please purchase your tickets online or at the theater. Movie is rated PG13

  6. Free Income Tax Prep & E-filing

    March 30, 2:00 PM - 6:00 PM @ Tech Training Room--Second Floor

    AARP volunteers can assist with tax questions and can complete virtually an IRS forms. There are no income or age restrictions. Service is offered on a first-come, first-served basis. Taxpayers need a copy of last year's return, a phot ID and a Social Security card. Volunteers are not IRS employees, but are trained and certified by the IRS.

  7. Monday @ 3pm: Crazy Eights Club for Grades 4 & 5 - SPECIAL: Author Visit w/Chad Morris!

    March 30, 3:00 PM - 4:00 PM @ Youth Department Activity Room

    This week will be an author visit with Chad Morris, author of The Inventor's Secret. Crazy 8s is a math club for kids who like novel, high-octane afters chool activities. Math and so much more! Each week we whip together math, science, and literature in wacky ways that will make Monday afternoons at the library Party Time. Crazy 8s is funded by the Bedtime Math Foundation, a private nonprofit organization dedicated to making math fun for children. Additionally, this afterschool program is supported by Shirley Hord and Boerne Public Library Foundation. We are most grateful for the support from all! (NO Crazy 8s on January 5.)
