To ensure the return of your security deposit it is suggested that you discuss your decorating plan with the Center Staff. All decorations and rental items must be removed from the building immediately following your event unless previous arrangements are made.
Wall Decorating:
- Tape of any kind is not permitted for attaching decorations to the facility.
- Staples are permitted for attaching decorations to the wood railings.
- Glue of any kind is not permitted.
Hanging Decorations:
- All hanging decorations will required the approval of staff before hanging.
Bird Seed:
- Bird seed is permitted outside on the parking lot only, not within the facility.
- Bird seed must be micro waved to prevent germination in flower beds.
Fire Safety:
- Candles, lamps and other decorations with a flame are permitted only if the flame is in a protective device, such as a globe, hurricane glass or votive-type holder. No exposed flames are permitted. Wax dripped on floor requires stripping the floor at your expense (approx. $1,000).
- Any decoration adjacent to a flame may not extend above the protective device, so that it is exposed to the flame or radiant heat. All table decorations must be non-combustible.
- Certain plastics are highly flammable. Please contact the Convention Center staff before any decorations with plastics are planned.
- Real Christmas trees must be freshly cut (24 hours), have a water source and not decorated with live fire (candles).
- Hay bales (other than table decorations) are not permitted due to fire and health concerns.
Lighting:
- Various types of lighting are available to help establish your desired decorating mood.
Balloons:
- All helium balloons must be removed from the Center after your event, this includes any loose balloons on the ceiling of the auditorium.
- Any popped balloons, as well as string/ribbon, must be removed from the Center.

Date & Time
|
Ensure your contract shows the start and end time of your event. Do not include move in or move out time.
|
|
Contract
|
Sign and return the Boerne Convention and Community Center Contract.
|
|
Please include your deposit. Assuming no changes have been made, your contract will be reviewed and approved by management, and a signed contract will be sent to you to confirm your reservation.
|
|
Decorations
|
Only approved decorations are permitted in the Boerne Convention and Community Center. Contact any staff member for approval.
|
|
Security
|
Security is required for any event where alcohol is being served, events with dancing and other events as deemed necessary by Boerne Convention and Community Center.
|
|
Catering - Outside
|
There are no restrictions for outside caterers. Please call Gayle Stakes at 830-249-2811 and let her know which caterer you will be using.
|
|
Catering - In-house
|
Call Gayle Stakes at 830-249-2811 or e-mail her at gstakes@ci.boerne.tx.us at least 4 weeks prior to your event in order to arrange in-house catering.

Room Setup
|
Call James Hester at 830-249-2811 or e-mail him at jhester@ci.boerne.tx.us at least 4 weeks prior to your event to arrange room layout.
