Optimist Park was developed in 1997 with the support of the local Optimist Club.  The Optimist Club supported the purchase of playground equipment and development of the site which was an abandoned City well site.

 

Located on the corner of Water Street and Highland Street, this shaded park is very popular for families with younger children.  The fenced park area offers  play equipment and picnic tables which is perfect for small birthday parties and gatherings. 

Amenities include picnic tables, benches, sand play area, swing sets, chinning bars, balance beam, spring toys, kids playscape, and off street parking.
