This National Safety Council course is Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) approved and presents the basic knowledge to recognize and respond to emergencies including bleeding, shock, heat/cold injuries, bone injuries, poisonings, sudden illnesses, cardiac emergencies, and breathing emergencies.  Texas Commission on Law Enforcement Officers Standards and Education (TCLEOSE) credit can be awarded.

If you are a new babysitter, or looking for a way to expand or polish your skills, there are basics every parent wants in a responsible babysitter. Learning from experience is important, but there are training programs to help you become more competent.

Babysitter 101 is a certificate awarding course, similar to the American Red Cross and developed with information from a number of other national organizations. Babysitting 101 is designed for young adults, ages 11and up, to teach young people how to be capable and caring, safe and effective babysitters.

This introductory course will cover leading concerns seniors have in recognizing and responding to emergency medical situations. This is a great opportunity to review the basic first aid steps, including bleeding, shock, heat/cold injuries, bone injuries, poisonings, sudden illnesses, cardiac emergencies, and breathing emergencies, and see what is new in First Responder treatment for seniors. CPR and AED concepts and principles will be discussed. A Certificate of Participation will be given upon completion of this course. Course material include study and reference material to be used at home, work, and play.
